What Law?  Title 5 U.S. Code § 7324, officially titled 'An Act to Prevent Pernicious Political Activities,' is a federal law that aims to maintain the integrity of public institutions by restricting certain political activities of federal employees. The Act seeks to ensure that federal programs are administered in a nonpartisan fashion, protect federal employees from political coercion in the workplace, and guarantee that federal employees are advanced based on merit and not political affiliation. It was enacted to prevent the misuse of federal authority for political purposes and to curb the practice of political patronage.
